Turmeric, the golden spice has been used in Asia for thousands of years. It was firstly used as a dye and then for medicinal purposes. From India, it was spread to Southeast Asia along with Hinduism and Buddhism, as yellow dye was used to color the robes of monks and priests.

Water-1 ½ cup of water

Fresh turmeric

Black pepper
